Branch Collective would like to acknowledge
that the land we gather to train, create and build community on is the territory of the Anishinabek and the Odawa of the three fires confederacy. We would also like to acknowledge the territories of the Cree, Moose Cree, Metis, Haudenosaunee, and Huron-Wendat as the land utilized by the greater Northern Ontario dance community. The very foundation of Branch Collective fosters our heritage in Northern Ontario and acknowledges how the land has helped to shape who we are. We recognize and give thanks to the caretakers of the land who have provided our collective and community the possibility and freedom to develop physical and creative practices together throughout Northern Ontario.
